In her role as Chief Registrar at the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital, Dr Pepper Tanchi actively supports the advancement of clinical capability and education amongst the junior medical workforce. By fostering strong bonds between junior medical officers, specialist medical officers and the clinical leadership, Dr Tanchi’s aim is to promote strong organisational culture and increase teamwork.
Prior to her appointment as Chief Registrar in 2017, Dr Pepper Tanchi was the Medical Education Fellow at Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital and was responsible for leading the medical education program for paediatric trainees and medical students. Along with her current academic appointment as an Associate Lecturer with the University of Queensland’s School of Medicine, Dr Tanchi has been able to pursue her passion for advancing medical practice amongst medical trainees.
Dr Tanchi is also a dual Advanced Trainee in General Paediatric and Endocrinology. Prior to this, Dr Tanchi graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of the Philippines in 2000. She pursued further study to attain a Doctor of Medicine again from the University of the Philippines in 2005, ranking within the top 15th percentile of her graduating class.
