Kevin Clark has over 20 years’ experience working in healthcare clinical education environments with organisations in both the UK and Australia. A strong advocate for the influence and impact nursing practice has in healthcare, Kevin will share insights from the ‘Watching our Waits’ project – an IT system aimed at assisting clinicians to manage the early escalation of discharge barriers for long stay patients.
Kevin Clark’s vision is to create, foster and support Metro North Hospital and Health Service to deliver exceptional patient and staff experiences and has recently been involved – at a state level – in the redesign processes associated with clinical nursing information systems and service transformation. Kevin has extensive knowledge of the current state and national health care systems challenges and opportunities through his work on the Queensland Clinical Senate Executive and the Queensland Clinical Education and Training Council. A strong advocate for the influence and impact nursing practice has in healthcare planning and service delivery, Kevin is committed to process redesign, cultural change and quality and safety outcomes related to the patient experience.
