Tickets, sponsorship and speaking opportunities are now available for the eHealth Queensland Expo 2017 – Operation Digital: Patient. Clinician. Technology to be held on 17 May at the Royal International Convention Centre in Brisbane.
Following the award winning sold-out inaugural event in 2016, this year’s expo is expected to attract up to 1800 delegates focused on transforming healthcare through digital.
Minister for Health and Ambulance Services Cameron Dick believes the eHealth Queensland Expo is vital to bring the state’s digital and healthcare industry together to focus on patient outcomes.
“Following the success of the 2016 event we are looking forward to what will be an even bigger and better eHealth Queensland Expo in 2017,” he said.
“Digital innovation is now accepted as crucial to the continued improvement of patient outcomes, but this can only be achieved by all interested groups, including patients, clinicians, consumers, healthcare professionals, industry partners, innovators and the whole healthcare sector working together.
“The eHealth Queensland Expo, one of the largest digital health conferences in Australia, will bring all of these groups together to share ideas, knowledge and passion for improving healthcare for Queenslanders.” Mr Dick said.
Dr Mal Thatcher, eHealth Queensland’s interim Chief Executive, said the expo is a key date in the digital healthcare calendar.
“We are at the beginning of a new era in healthcare delivery, where patient outcomes are intrinsically linked with innovative and reliable technologies,” he said.
“The expo is a vital component in enabling us to achieve our vision to advance healthcare through digital innovation and to enable quality patient care by providing seamless technology solutions and services across Queensland Health.
“Not only will we showcase what Queensland Health is delivering in improving healthcare through digital innovation, the expo brings together all the key groups from across the healthcare and technology sector to share ideas and identify better ways of managing and delivering patient-centred healthcare.” Dr Thatcher said.
More than 1200 delegates and leaders in healthcare innovation attended the sold-out eHealth Queensland Expo in 2016 including clinicians, healthcare executives, professionals, IT experts, vendors, start-ups and academia.
The success of the event was recognised when the expo won the 2016 Department of Health’s Award for Excellence “Connectedness” category in December 2016.
The event is funded through sponsorship income and paid tickets, with last year’s expo obtaining 48 sponsors from industry, academia, the start-up community and not-for-profits.
A Sponsorship Prospectus is now available outlining the opportunities available.
