William Stubbs is a social entrepreneur, writer, speaker and consultant with a fascination of stories and technology. And a serious coffee habit. He is a co-founder of the award winning, innovative mental health non-profit Spur Projects, consults on business, futurism and social impact with Acaché Consulting and mentors the upcoming Indigenous start up accelerator, Barayamal.
William is an active public health and social commentator, regularly speaking at conferences and on television and radio (ABC’s Man Up, The Ripple Effect). In 2016 he was recognised by the Queensland Mental Health Commission with the Jude Bugeja Peer Experience award for his work in progressing mental health in the public space through lived experience. He has also been named as one of Australia’s Top Young Social Entrepreneurs and nominated for the Australian Mental Health Prize.
